HubSpot pipeline with no closed won deals in 30 days

When a portal has open deals but nothing has been marked closed won in 30 days, either sales has stalled or wins are not being recorded in HubSpot. Check recent wins by close date, confirm reps close deals in HubSpot, then review stage progression and close dates for the open pipeline.

DealsDEAL-010Updated 2026-10-28

Why it matters

Revenue reports, win rates, and sales cycle length all depend on deals being moved to Closed won with a close date. If wins are tracked in a spreadsheet or billing tool instead, HubSpot understates revenue and every forecast built on it starts from the wrong baseline.

If wins really have stopped, the open pipeline needs attention now. A month with no wins often follows weeks of deals sitting in one stage, close dates sliding, or qualification letting weak deals in.

Either cause is worth knowing early. The longer it runs, the harder it is to reconstruct what actually closed.

How to find it in HubSpot

  1. Open CRM > Deals and switch to the table view.
  2. Add the filter Deal stage is any of, and select every Closed won stage across your pipelines.
  3. Add the filter Close date is in the last 30 days, and check whether any deals appear.
  4. Remove the date filter and look for won deals with Close date unknown. Those can hide recent wins.
  5. Ask the sales team where they record a signed deal. If the answer is not HubSpot, that is the real finding.

How to fix it safely

  1. If wins happened outside HubSpot, have owners move those deals to Closed won with the correct close date and amount.
  2. If wins really stopped, review the open pipeline stage by stage: which deals are progressing, which close dates are realistic, and where deals pile up.
  3. Clean up the pipeline so it reflects reality. Close deals that are dead and correct dates that have slipped.
  4. Make "move the deal to Closed won" part of the contract or handoff checklist, so wins land in HubSpot on the day they happen.

How Ancil checks this

Rule
DEAL-010
What it looks for
Fires when at least 3 deals are open and no deal was moved to a closed won stage with a close date in the last 30 days. When Ancil read every deal, it stays silent if any closed deal has an unknown outcome or any won deal has no valid close date, because that could hide a recent win. When deals were sampled, Ancil uses HubSpot’s whole-portal totals and stays silent if those are missing or if any won deal lacks a close date.
Severity
Warning.
Evidence shown
The number of open deals and a count of zero wins in the last 30 days, marked exact when whole-portal totals were used.
Governed fix
Not automated. Ancil reports the evidence and does not change any deal. Your team, or an INSIDEA expert, records missing wins and reviews the pipeline in HubSpot.
