HubSpot forms with no consent settings

Forms with no recorded consent setup may collect data without the notice or permission your audience requires. Find forms without consent options, then have someone responsible for privacy confirm what each one needs before changing it.

FormsFORM-003Updated 2026-10-28

Why it matters

Privacy rules such as GDPR can require clear notice and, for marketing, a recorded permission. Requirements depend on your audience and location.

Without recorded consent, you may not be able to prove a contact agreed to receive marketing.

How to find it in HubSpot

  1. Open Marketing > Forms.
  2. Open each form and check its data privacy and consent options.
  3. Note which forms collect marketing permission and which only show a notice.

How to fix it safely

  1. Ask whoever owns privacy (legal or operations) to confirm the requirement for each form and audience.
  2. Add the agreed notice text and consent checkboxes, linked to the right subscription types.
  3. Check your privacy policy link is present and current.

Before you change anything: This is a compliance question, not just a setting. Ancil and this page are not legal advice.
