Most HubSpot portals depend on integrations: calendars, email, billing, ecommerce, ERPs, data enrichment and custom private apps. Each one moves data in or out on a schedule or in response to changes. When a sync fails, records stop updating, and the CRM quietly drifts away from the systems it is supposed to mirror.
Failures have a handful of common causes. The connected user leaves the company or loses permissions, so the connection’s access is revoked. A property is renamed, deleted or given a new required format, so field mappings break. An app hits API limits. Or a token expires and nobody reconnects it.
The danger is that integrations rarely fail loudly. A billing integration that stops syncing means sales sees the wrong renewal dates. An ecommerce sync that fails means new customers never enter nurture workflows. These problems are usually discovered weeks later, from a confused customer or a report that does not add up.
Connect integrations with a dedicated service user rather than a person who might leave, check sync health and error lists in each connected app’s settings regularly, and review field mappings before changing or deleting any property an integration uses.
