Active HubSpot workflows with zero enrollments

A workflow that is switched on but has never enrolled a single record is either waiting for a trigger that never happens or has criteria that are too narrow. Sort active workflows by enrollment count and review the triggers of any at zero.

WorkflowsWORKFLOW-004Updated 2026-10-28

Why it matters

The team believes a process is automated when it is not. Follow-ups, assignments, or notifications silently never happen.

Common causes are a typo in a property value, a list that no longer exists, or criteria joined with AND when OR was intended.

How to find it in HubSpot

  1. Open Automation > Workflows and filter to workflows that are on.
  2. Add or sort by the enrolled count column.
  3. Open each workflow with zero enrollments and review its enrollment triggers.

How to fix it safely

  1. Test the trigger against a record that should qualify. In the workflow editor, check whether that record meets the criteria.
  2. Correct property values, list references, or AND/OR logic.
  3. Decide whether existing records should be enrolled when you fix the trigger, and choose that option deliberately.
  4. If the workflow is no longer needed, turn it off and document why.
